Joining LuLaRoe!

Me in my first LuLaRoe dress!
My LuLaRoe Story: Let me tell you about the crazy whirlwind of my decision to join LuLaRoe! Rewind to last winter...I was pregnant and having trouble finding any clothes to fit my giant belly that didn't look like a tent when I stumbled upon a friend's online LuLaRoe Pop Up Shop. I had never heard of LuLaRoe but decided to buy a "Julia" dress, a super cute tshirt dress that I was hoping if I went up a size might fit my baby bump. A few days later I received my package from a consultant and fell in love with the brand! Super soft, stretchy, comfy, and oh so cute...even at 9 months pregnant!!

That was when I realized I needed to be a part of this company, it only took one dress! When researching it I found that joining is a little bit expensive, but I know with a risk comes a big reward and wow, what a reward it has been! I opened an interest free credit card, called LuLaRoe, and was counting down to see whether my 400 pieces of LuLaRoe clothing or my little bundle of joy would arrive first.

The baby came first, Savannah was born on Sunday, May 3rd and my 5 boxes of goodies arrived on Monday, May 4th! I came home from the hospital Tuesday, I was exhausted, but too excited to see what was in my boxes! Opening that first shipment was like the most exciting Christmas I have ever had! So I spent the first few weeks of motherhood enjoying my precious miracle baby and playing with beautiful new clothes!

I had my first 2 online pop up parties in May, my grand opening launch in June, and by July I had so many people wanting to host pop ups and order clothes, I've never felt so popular in my life! By August my pop up calendar was booked until November! And by September I paid off my initial credit card investment and had enough cash to take a nice vacation!

I'm now 7 months into LuLaRoe, have my own awesome team of LuLaRoe consultants, almost 1000 ladies in my VIP group, and am selling so much LuLaRoe I've hired an assistant to help me! I absolutely love LuLaRoe and joining the company is one of the best decisions I have ever made!

Here's a summary of some of my biggest questions about whether I should join LuLaRoe:

1- How much does it cost to join LuLaRoe?  The cost varies depending on what styles you choose, while the initial investment can seem scary, the average consultant pays it back within 3 months! What other business can say that? I'm a CPA by day and can help you figure out a plan on how to pay the initial investment.

2- Can I be a LuLaRoe consultant as a hobby? That's what I do! While I could definitely make enough money to do LuLaRoe full time, I am an accountant by day and a fashion consultant by weekend/evening!

3- Is LuLaRoe the right fit for me? The answer is easy, if you love fashion and comfortable, beautiful clothes then yes! LuLaRoe is simply comfortable clothing and an amazing network of women.

4- How much money does a LuLaRoe consultant make? That all depends on how much time you spend working your business. The average pop up shop earns a consultant around $400 commission, so if you want to have one a week or 4 a week, the sky is the limit as to what you can do with your business! I can help you figure out a plan that works for you and your life.

5- How do I find out more information about joining LuLaRoe? I can help you! Just click HERE, and I will send you the information.

Valentine's Day Pink + Glitter Manicure

Yay, it's almost Valentine's Day!!!! What's better than a day devoted to pink, red, flowers, candy, and LOVE!  Whether you are single, dating, or married, this is the perfect day to spoil yourself and everyone you love!  I am starting early with a pink and glitter manicure!  Paint your nails pink, wear pink all week, and be sure to give lots of hugs and kisses to all those you love!

To get the look above: Essie "Muchi Muchi" for all nails and Essie "A Cut Above" to add glitter to my ring fingers.  I love the glitter polish but it goes on very clear so must put a few coats of pink underneath, shown here I did 3 coats of pink on all fingers.  (I would put glitter on all nails but feel that is too childish now that I'm 30 :( ).  Rings are courtesy of Chloe + Isabel.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day themed Kate Spade inspired glitter coasters, DIY.

I love all things Kate Spade and all things glitter so I went crazy over the Kate Spade glitter coasters.  I decided to try to make my own glitter coasters for Valentine's Day.  These would make great presents for your favorite Gal'entine's!

Supplies needed:
Large Ball mason jars (only need the lids, I will save the jars for another project :) )
Pink or red glitter (preferably the large flake kind)
Mod Podge acrylic sealer
Mod Podge gloss
Cork board roll (adhesive)
Scissors
Paint brush

Trace jar lid onto the back of the cork board roll.  Cut out the circle traced.  Peel sticker off back of cork roll and firmly press cork onto jar lid.

Using a paint brush, paint Mod Podge gloss onto cork, the mod podge will act as glue.  While still wet, pour glitter on cork until the entire area is covered.  Let sit for 10 minutes.  Tap coaster upside down to remove excess glitter.  Spray Mod Podge adhesive gloss onto glitter covered coaster, be sure to do this step outside.  Let dry 10 minutes.

While drying, pour yourself a cocktail and get ready to use your new sparkly coaster!

Jewelry Frames - DIY

"People will stare, make it worth their while" ~ Harry Winston

Jewelry is too pretty to sit in a drawer all day.  Why not frame jewelry like a picture?.  I made my own jewelry picture displays using 8x10 frames I found at TJ Maxx, both cost less than $20.

To make, I removed the glass and cardboard from the frames.  On one I inserted an 8x10 Artist's Loft burlap panel found at Michael's (in store only).
In the black frame I inserted an 8x10 Elmer's foam board also found at Michael's (in store only).

Then I used sparkly push pins to secure jewelry in place. Be sure to download Michael's coupons before shopping!  I saved 20% off!
